Job Description
Comedy Works Entertainment is a promotion and management company based in Denver, Colorado. We are an affiliate of Comedy Works and specialize in promoting theatre comedy shows and managing Denver based comedians.
Comedy Works Entertainment is looking for a qualified intern to join our team for the semester. Our interns will have the opportunity to work with multiple members of the Comedy Works team. As we are an independently owned and operated business, one will have a hands-on opportunity to see how the various departments work together in a relatively small staff setting. The position will help with the promotion, marketing, and management of Comedy Works Entertainment and all Comedy Works Entertainment shows/clients.
This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the entertainment industry. Interns will work directly with the Director of Operations for Comedy Works Entertainment and Marketing and Touring Administrator. The position will be based out of the corporate office off Santa Fe and Mississippi in Denver, CO.
Responsibilities:
Job duties to include (but are not limited to):
- Assist in putting together comprehensive marketing plans promoting concerts and clients
- Grass roots marketing, web promotions, social media management, etc.
- Marketing Research
- Assist with publicity materials – building press releases & assisting with on sale announcements
- Advertising - creating & managing Facebook ads and analytics
- Content creation for social media pages
- General assistant duties
- Localizing national tour art into required sizes using Photoshop
- Working directly with clients (comedians) for promotion and publicity opportunities
- Flexible and adaptable to help with new projects and tasks not listed
Requirements:
Comedy Works Entertainment is looking for a student in the Denver area with an interest in marketing, administration and/or advertising. This person should have verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of social media. Design experience is a bonus, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position. No two days are the same and the student may or may not perform all responsibilities listed during their internship.
Start Date: January 31, 2022
Hours: Approximately 20 hours/week. Flexible days. This is an on-site position, no remote work available.
Location: The position will be based out of the corporate office off Santa Fe and Mississippi in Denver, CO.
