Internationally acclaimed and award-winning Scottish comedian Daniel Sloss started performing stand-up aged just 16 and has appeared on the UK’s premier television shows. In 2008, aged just 17, Daniel became one of the youngest-ever finalists in the UK’s premiere national comedy competition So You Think You’re Funny?
In 2009 his first solo show, TEENAGE KICKS, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe, selling out the run and transferring to London for his debut at the prestigious Soho Theatre whereupon he became the youngest ever stand-up to perform solo both at the venue and in the West End.
In 2010 Daniel’s new solo hour MY GENERATION also sold out its entire season at the Edinburgh Fringe. His 2011 show THE JOKER was likewise a total smash-hit, selling an astonishing 10,000 tickets. This show subsequently played to great audiences and acclaim across the UK in a 50 date tour produced by Live Nation after they took him on as their youngest solo comedy client. He went on to win the prize for Best New Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards.
Similarly his 2012 Edinburgh fringe show THE SHOW sold out it’s run at the festival. That same year Daniel also performed a solo season at Montreal’s Just For Laughs comedy festival and was invited to give a prestigious Tedx talk - a serious yet comedic presentation. His debut stand-up DVD DANIEL SLOSS – LIVE! (recorded at Glasgow’s legendary Kings Theatre) was released on the BBC’s 2Entertain label in the autumn of 2012.
In 2013 he achieved an unprecedented Edinburgh triple - his show STAND-UP sold out the entire run, again over 10,000 tickets (back at Edinburgh’s International Conference Centre and restricted only by the venue’s capacity) and then toured the UK and all over Australia in spring of 2014. 2013 also saw Daniel make his USA television debut on Conan, leading to 3 appearances in just over 6 months. He has also appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Pete Holmes Show and @Midnight.
His 2014 show REALLY…?! had its world premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe, yet again performing to huge audiences at the EICC with extra shows added due to demand. REALLY…?! Subsequently embarked on a major tour in the fall throughout Europe (with 20 shows across 15 countries) as well as across the UK with 50+ theatre dates including 2 shows at London's Royal Albert Hall, Elgar Room.
His 2015 show DARK was hailed by the press for its more challenging subject matter. It sold out 4 weeks at the Edinburgh Festival Conference Centre and toured for 80 dates across UK and 16 countries in Europe, with an extra week-long run added in London at the end of January 2016, due to the demand. A longer hybrid version of DARK then transferred to New York in February 2016 when he made his solo debut at the Soho Playhouse – Daniel featuring on the front cover of the New York Times Arts section. As well as performing two more sold out shows in LA’s Westside Comedy Theater, Daniel Sloss: DARK subsequently went to Australia and New Zealand for a 2 month tour, to rave reviews and packed houses.
